This is our first winter as parents to a Goldendoodle and we were severely unprepared for handling the winter! While our dog loves the snow, she would get balls of frozen ice stuck in and on her paws, burns from the salt and it would take forever to just dry her off before she could come back inside the house - it was such a process! Finding these dog boots have made taking our dog outside for pottytime and playtime happy again! She warmed up to them a few times after using them and now we wonder how we lived without them! Cleanup is so easy and the boots are adorable - we get tons of compliments. I love that the boots are tool and are easily adjustable to make sure that they're on tight! Nikko, labradoodle, tibia, is long, hence, knee high.

The upper velcro strap closes below the knee, and sometimes the boot slips off.

There is a pull string. Dont want to pull too hard to avoid strangulating blood flow.

solution, move the upper strap up to near the top, which would be perfect

My baby is getting up there. And with that old age comes some hip/back problems, and he's been dragging his left paw a little. The X-Large Hi-Toppers are perfect for him. They used to have sort of elastic straps, and somehow if he would step on his foot (Danes are pretty clumsy, if you didn't know), the boot would come off. They've since done away with that, and the straps are way better now. As long as I'm still able to walk my boy, I'll keep buying these shoes!

Like the height of the boots and rubber bottoms are great. The legs are rather wide - had to add my own velcro to the straps to secure the boots properly - the strap provided doesn’t have velcro all the way to the end.

This is the second time I bought the Hi Topper boots. They are good except it needs one extra strong self adhesive strap around the lowest round of the foot to hold its position. I actually added one myself and now it holds well.
